Shopmee Skills Training Centre was established with the vision of creating practical learning opportunities for individuals and communities who want to develop useful skills for employment, entrepreneurship and personal growth.
The Centre grew from Shopmee’s broader business and community-development activities, particularly in computer literacy, business skills, sales, retail, digital skills and vocational training. Recognising the need for accessible and affordable skills development, Shopmee expanded its training activities into a dedicated skills training centre.
Today, Shopmee Skills Training Centre is focused on providing practical, accessible and industry-relevant training that helps learners build confidence, improve their employability and develop skills that can be used to start and grow small businesses.
Our journey continues to be driven by a commitment to skills development, empowerment, entrepreneurship and community upliftment, with the aim of preparing learners for opportunities in the modern workplace and the growing informal and small-business economy.
Shopmee Skills Training Centre offers practical, career-focused and entrepreneurship-oriented training programmes designed to equip learners with useful skills for employment, self-employment and small-business development. The programme structure can include theory, practical activities and workplace-oriented learning, reflecting the skills-based approach used in South Africa's vocational education sector.
